I went in wanting to enjoy it, but the acting just didn’t quite work for me. A lot of the dialogue came across kind of flat, and there were a few moments where I had a hard time believing the scene.
I kept hoping it would settle in or pick up as it went along, but it never really clicked for me. Maybe it was just an off night, because I could see there was effort there.
For the price, though, I walked out feeling disappointed. I wanted to feel pulled into the story, but instead I mostly felt disconnected.

The place had a good vibe and the staff seemed friendly enough, but the bar service was frustrating. We waited way too long just to get our drinks, which kind of took away from the experience. I’d probably give it another shot, but I hope they speed things up a bit.

I booked these seats assuming they’d be decent, but the view was terrible. Part of the stage was blocked, and I had to keep leaning just to see what was going on, which got old really fast. I didn’t pay that much to spend the whole show annoyed and uncomfortable. Definitely not worth the price.

I went to see the musical the singing was been uneven. Some moments were nice and I did enjoy a few parts, but the sound mix is off most of the time and I couldn’t really hear the lyrics well. I was expecting better, to be honest.

The show itself was fine and I don’t really have any complaints about the performance, but the venue felt a bit grimy. The floors near our seats were sticky, which is never a great feeling when you’re trying to just settle in and enjoy the night, and the washroom wasn’t in the best shape either. I know busy venues get messy, but for what the tickets cost, I was definitely expecting the place to feel cleaner and a little better taken care of.

The costumes looked cheap and made it hard to stay into the show. I kept hoping there’d be someone around to talk to about it or at least give some kind of explanation, but there was basically no human contact at all. It just felt really impersonal and disappointing.

But the actual production around them felt cheap, like it only worked when it wanted to. The set looked flat, and a few of the props had that last-minute school-project feel to them.

and I do really like Neptune Theatre — most of the shows I’ve been to have been solid. But lately the ticket prices have felt a little steep, especially once you try to get seats that aren’t way off to the side or in the back.
I totally understand that live theatre isn’t cheap to put on, but I wish there were more affordable options or easier-to-spot deals. I’ll still go when there’s something I really want to see, just probably not as often as I’d like.

I don’t know how this is okay, but the concessions were terrible. The popcorn tasted stale, the drink was super watered down, and everything was still way overpriced. It put me in a bad mood before the show even started.

The whole visit felt a bit uncomfortable. The staff didn’t seem very friendly, and when I asked a couple of simple questions, I felt like I was being brushed off. Even the follow-up emails felt like they were written by robots instead of actual people. Not a great experience overall.
